Baltimore, Maryland - U.S. District Judge Catherine Blake sentenced Charles Tucker, age 43, of Randallstown to 41 months in prison followed by three years of supervised release for one count of conspiracy to distribute 500 grams or more of cocaine and 100 grams or more of heroin and three counts of distribution of cocaine, announced United States Attorney for the District of Maryland Rod J. Rosenstein. According to his guilty plea, from November, 2007 through January, 2008, Tucker distributed on three occasions over 120 grams of cocaine to an undercover police officer. At the end of January and the beginning of February, 2008, Tucker and his co-defendant, Albert Miller, who has pled guilty and is awaiting sentencing, agreed to purchase 100 grams of heroin from the undercover agent. On February 15, 2008 , Tucker and Miller were arrested in Baltimore when they attempted to pick up the heroin from the undercover police officer. During this entire time period, Tucker was working as a Case Manager Specialist in the Maryland Department of Juvenile Services. There is no allegation that Tucker’s drug dealing affected the Department of Juvenile Services and Tucker has since been terminated from his position in that agency. United States Attorney Rod J. Rosenstein thanked the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Baltimore County Police Department for their investigative work and praised Assistant United States Attorneys Robert Harding and Charles Peters, who prosecuted the case.
